I have been able to experience (trans)formation at the same time as a woman, as a mother and as a professional and this has greatly enriched the experience.
It has been a TRULY EYE-OPENING JOURNEY. The main change that training has brought to me is the deep and complete vision of motherhood, parenting and the accompaniment of these vital processes.
I am left with subtlety, delicacy, sensitivity as fundamental ingredients to live the experience of motherhood and accompany it…
I have learned that accompanying breastfeeding is not advising but observing the woman and making her feel understood and supported, offering different options in which she can feel comfortable and she chooses the best option.
For me this year it has been a gift to do it online, I felt that this way I could dedicate energy when I have not been able to get everything on time. Knowing that even though I wasn’t live I could also share that time on a deferred basis has been very reassuring.
This journey has allowed me to recognize and understand the role of a Doula from different sides, they all have in common the love for childhood, the empathy and the opened heart towards the family wishes.
The seminars as a whole have allowed me to see this figure from many perspectives and experiences that have offered me a much deeper vision of the most important aspects in relation to (pa)maternity and childhood and, above all, with the feelings that this entire vital stage of people’s lives awakens.
Very well, it is important to land all the feeling of the doula profession. Being able to work as well as execute a professional idea where the raw material is so emotional and vulnerable, is very enriching and necessary.
I have been surprised once again by the good management of the Online Training Format. Although in my case I have done it on a deferred basis, I think that the support, the presence of the tutors, the fluidity, the times and the management of the interventions is perfect and makes the online format comfortable and close.
After doing the Doula and Early Childhood and Parenting Companion Course I take with me the learning of flowing with what life is presenting to us. To be a little more compassionate and honest with myself. I have incorporated new and valuable learnings and ordered others that were already in me…
Thank you for giving so much space to the practical and real, to give so much look at the fact that behind each case there are people, families, that look beyond!
It has been wonderful the way in which the training guides us to put ourselves in our place and to review ourselves, both when the activity suggested came from an individual case and when it was a group one.
