Information, to make free and conscious decisions
We need information to make free and conscious decisions. Gemma Guillamón
Information is a fundamental and basic resource for Mothers and Families, information is a right.
By researching and informing ourselves in an up-to-date and conscious way, we can make decisions about our Bodies, about Motherhood and Parenting.
Information is not only important for Mothers, it is also fundamental for us as Doulas and Companions of Women. Because many times we will be the channel that the Mothers have towards the sources of adequate information that they ask for or need. Information from professionals who contemplate up-to-date studies, who look beyond standardized protocols, who assess the pros and cons of each practice.
Informing ourselves is a right and a responsibility that will allow us to walk through Motherhood knowing that each decision is made from the greatest possible awareness.
This is a fundamental theme in our Mima’m Doula Formation. To train as a Doula is also to have access to this information, to sources and studies, and to be able to share it with the Women we accompany, taking into account the double language that we Doulas handle, the physiological and the body on the one hand, and that of the heart on the other, which allows us to make an empathetic approach with the Mother. being able to accompany it with an exclusive look that takes special account of their needs, their doubts, their experience.
If the Accompaniment to Motherhood resonates with you, if you want to know more about the Figure of the Doula, we remind you that we have the Open Registrations for the New Editions of the Mima’m Formations:
