International Day of Action for Women’s Health
This Sunday, May 28, was the International Day of Action for Women’s Health, an event that has been celebrated since 1987, and whose objective for almost the first decade was to raise awareness and encourage organizations and governments to invest in actions that have an impact especially on Sexual and Perinatal Health. 🤰🏻👩🏽🍼
Organizations such as those that have promoted this day and their actions are the ones that often make governments and the strata of power aware of the reality that women live, that gender bias is deeply present in medicine, and that it affects us all in areas of basic human rights. such as Health.
Beyond organizations, it is also a reminder that day by day, women continue to become aware of the importance of supporting each other, taking care of each other and ensuring our well-being.
Accompany each other in this transformation, because there is still much to do and the path will be much easier to travel if we do it together. 🙏🏼❤️
