All Mima’m Trainings can be done in 3 different Modalities, depending on what each Woman needs and what best suits her situation and circumstances.

In the case of the Breastfeeding Training there are 4 seminars that are carried out in face-to-face format and 3 exclusively online. Women who prefer to do them all online can do it that way.

Classroom Format:
The Mima’m Trainings are held at Port Balís in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, very close to Barcelona and easily accessible both by car and public transport.
The room is an open space, set and created especially for our meetings in the Seminars, and the environment is a wonderful place, both for the Women doing the training and for the rest of the Family, if they need to come with companions to take care of Creatures.

Online Format:
We take special care of the needs and accompaniment of the Women doing the Training from Home.
The seminars are transmitted live via Zoom, and an important aspect is that the doubts and questions of the women in this format are transmitted via Chat to the speakers at the time the questions are asked.
The students in the online format also have the monthly support circles in online format with their tutor.

Mixed Format:
This Format allows each Woman to choose which seminars she takes in Presential Format and which ones in Online Format. Thus, being able to manage personal, family and work logistics that may arise, and particular circumstances.

All Formats have access to the recordingsof the Seminars given, to be reviewed, between one seminar and the next, if deemed necessary or if a more exhaustive use of the theoretical content is desired.

We pay special attention to the accompaniment of the women who choose us for their training. We pay special attention to the emotional aspect and we also look for ways to facilitate the logistics of attending and being able to complete the training in the cycle that corresponds to you.

For this reason, if you are unable to attend one of our Training Seminars in person, you have two options:

To do it online live from home, or to visualize the recording of the Seminar in deferred with a Form that allows us to maintain contact and follow up the learning and personal process of the topic addressed.

In this case, you have approximately one month to view the Seminar that you have not been able to attend.
In this way, you will always be able to complete the Training within your Cycle and also keep up to date with the contents that are being taught.

In the Breastfeeding Consultant Training, from Mima’m we provide you with a list of related groups so that you can contact them for observation practices, as we always recommend as an important part of the path of professionalization in Breastfeeding Counseling, to attend as a regular observer to a Breastfeeding Group in your area.

We also offer two internships in the Lactation Consultant Training to be able to actively accompany and advise in our Maternity Support Group.

In addition, during the Course there are Seminars where we approach real cases through Role Playing.

In these spaces, the accompaniment of real cases is practiced, creating the space to polish the basic techniques of Respectful Maternity Support such as Active Listening, the appropriate way to transmit information, and the awareness of the limits of our competencies in the Accompaniment.

Every year we review our Training Program and look for additions to ensure that we offer you the best possible quality in each Edition.

By car, we are 30′ from Barcelonaand there is a free parking a few meters from the Hall and a paid parking inside the Port Balís in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, just below the hall.just below the hall.

At public transport, you can get there on the R1 and y the station is a 10′ walk from the from the hall along a beautiful promenade to enjoy before arriving.

The Room and the space where we offer training for us is a training agent in itself.. Magic is created in him, the Light, the Sea, the Openness as well as the Containment it offers, is very special.. We also take care and make sure that the space is clean, harmonized and balanced.

We remind you that we also offer Online Live Training Formatso if you prefer to do the training from a distance, you can take the Seminars from your home.

Being a training space designed and created by and for women, taking into account the comfort of mothers and families has been one of our priorities when choosing the space for Mima’m trainings.

Babies can be comfortably inside the room together with Mom, since they are all located in chairs on the floor, it is very convenient to be available for the needs of the creatures.

At the same time, for older children, the environment where the training is located is ideal so that the needs for movement and exploration can easily accompany them.

The beach, boats, a park… is a precious and conciliatory space for the needs of children, where they can be with an adult companion of reference for them.

And they always have access to the room at times when they need contact with Mom, for feeding or napping, for example.

Also next to the training space, there is another room where the children can be with their companion of reference, on days when the weather may not invite to be outdoors, or to combine spaces.

There are many women who come to the Mima’m Lactation Consultant Training without being mothers, and almost all of them have asked themselves this question. That is why today we bring you this little reflection.

First:
Of course you can be an Advisor without being a Mother!

There are as many ways to accompany as there are Advisors, and the look and disposition of a woman who has not been a mother is as unique and important as the others. If you have not been a mother, your accompaniment will be given from a place of spontaneous neutrality since there are no experiences of your own to place and digest.

We have been cultivating Sorority as a fundamental part of our Lives for decades as Women. Sisterhood that is expressed in mutual support, in spaces of listening, support, accompaniment among us, care and appreciation of what women do day by day.

All of this resonates very much with the type of accompaniment that we Advisors offer, doesn’t it?

This awareness has made more and more women approach the figure of the Lactation Consultant without being Mothers, because we cultivate a special sensitivity towards Mothers and Childhood, a call to the Care of Life and the Accompaniment of those who Care and Motherhood in the first line.

The Breastfeeding Advisor Training provides you with a fundamental theoretical basis for the Support, and the spaces of practice and reflection linked to the Support itself and to the Communication with Mothers and Families, help to refine this sensitivity that those of us who feel this call, already have.

This training is designed for women who have completed the Mima’m Early Childhood and Parenting Doula and Companion Training, who have previously completed another Mima’m Training or who have a Doula Training from another Training Center.
