The importance of the family in early childhood for a healthy, fair and equitable future.

We are very excited to share with you a glimpse of an article published by the “La Caixa” Foundation by Núria Alsina Punsola, Entrepreneur and creator of the Espai Mima’m project and pedagogical advisor and trainer of the Family Spaces 0-3 sub-programme of the CaixaProinfancia programme.

The intra-family bond during the first three years of life is essential for the integral development of children. A bond that lays the foundation for a healthy future and for their emotional and social well-being. However, when families face difficulties, society must offer its support to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Protecting early childhood is crucial to building a more just and equitable society.

It is a fact that child development currently occupies an important place of study and review, as well as that the spaces for accompanying children at this stage are already consolidated and reference spaces. What there is not so much reflection on is the relationship with the intra-family bond and how care, support and promotion of this directly and positively affect child development.
